Several years ago, Lancaster Farming ran an article about our operation. Here is a copy of the article. We have about 80 acres in permanent pasture divided into 17 paddocks. The entire perimeter of the farm is fenced in 7-strand high tensile New Zealand style fencing. Our cross fencing is 3-strand. The first deed to the farm was on May 22, 1749. We have many of the original deeds to the property from the 1700s up to today. The main part of the house was built in 1851 from granite quarried in Biglerville. An addition was built sometime after the original house was completed using local granite.
